Home for Christmas (8 photos)

August 15th, 2007

For those of you who just cannot get enough of Beecham Builders’ outstanding work, Brent Beecham has supplied me with pictures of two more Alliance Children’s Theater Christmas Houses built by his company in the Atlanta area.

State-of-the-art modern kitchen Collinfield Hall was the 2002 Christmas House designed by architect Eduardo Contreras of Bryan & Contreras. It is an 8-bedroom, 12,000 square foot masterpiece which boasts an awesome kitchen designed by Design Galleria Kitchen & Bath Studio among its outstanding features. The two-story kitchen features two islands (is that a kitchen archipelago?), Wolfe, Sub-Zero and Asko appliances supplied by The Westye Group, a range hood which extends to the peak of the kitchen’s cathedral ceiling, and glass-fronted Downsview cabinets. Holly Hill Interiors added what Brent Beecham described as “a refined medieval feel” to this state-of-the-art modern kitchen.

Madison Reid Interiors designed the exquisite master suite, located on the main floor. This private, relaxing and elegant area includes 12-foot coffered ceilings, a lady’s studio, a sitting room, and his-and-hers bathrooms joined by a shared steam shower.

Every room in the warm and spacious home offers a treat for the eye. On the main floor, the woodwork includes features such as reclaimed oak flooring, hand carved corbels, antique beams, and reclaimed oak flooring. A furniture maker was employed to construct the cherry-paneled study and much of the home’s cabinetry on-site. Pineapple House Interior Design took the brand-new living room and reproduced the heart of an English country home, including furnishings and accessories which appear to have been individually selected by a discerning owner over a period of many years.

Upstairs spaces reserved for guests received equal attention. For instance, the extraordinary guest suite created by HB Designs includes soaring ceilings, faux painted walls masterfully rendered by Adrianne Laird of Dogwood Studios, carefully selected furnishings and a perfect combination of hard and soft surfaces.

So how do you top this? Wait until you see our next installment to see how Beecham Builders responded to that question. HINT: think bigger’n better.
